Potter Group Logistics provides new site for Merseyside Recycling Centre
Potter Group Logistics has agreed to provide two acres of its current 36 acre Knowsley site for a new Merseyside Recycling Centre operated by the Mersey Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA). The new site will be six times larger than the existing location and is only 300m away.
The move is the latest step in the Group’s strategy to take advantage of its extensive national 250 acre land bank, with other projects including a new 10 acre light industrial development at its Ripon centre and a container repair facility in Droitwich, West Midlands.
The new Centre will enable Merseyside householders and residents to recycle and dispose of a range of waste and recyclable materials free of charge.
Visitors will not only be able to drop off their recyclables quicker but safety will also be improved with the facility for up to 20 vehicles to queue off the highway. HGV service vehicles will remove the recycling bins via a separate entrance further improving safety and without the need to close off visitor access.
