Potter Group brings summer light to UK garden centres
The Potter Group has won a contract to store, pick, pack and dispatch decorative domestic outdoor lighting destined for leading garden centres. The contract is for the Netherlands based European head office of US company Intermatic and the Group's Ely Distribution Centre already has 500 pallets in store, expected to grow to 750 in peak periods.Full container loads are shipped in from far eastern and European manufacturers and multi-product orders are picked by Group staff for just-in-time distribution directly to retail outlets.
The Group is rapidly extending its expertise into direct and indirect consumer product services, including break bulk and order picking for retail outlets, handling products as diverse as soft drinks, aerosols and now outdoor lighting.
