As well as providing dedicated and shared user general warehousing, The Group’s 38 acre Droitwich, Worcestershire, distribution centre specialises in the storage and distribution of chemicals and hazardous products.Located on a secure, rural complex with 30,000 m² (286,000 ft²) of warehousing, the centre currently handles a wide range of flammable, toxic, corrosive materials such as paint, agricultural chemicals, chlorine and even schedule 2 and 3 drugs.
Specialised facilities include bunded storage, temperature controlled warehousing, and protected and enclosed zones. Services include break bulk, order picking, packaging and re-packaging, and ISO container discharging and packing, supported by the latest IT and software systems.
In accordance with or ahead of current legislation, Droitwich is a top tier COMAH site, operates to BASIS regulations and holds ISO 9001:2000 quality accreditation.
The Group’s own fleet of vehicles operates locally and nationally, carrying out multi-drop and time sensitive deliveries. For exporters the centre provides export planning, documentation and freight forwarding services for dangerous goods in line with ADR, IATA and IMDG requirements.
