Building material storage and distribution
The Potter Group has a long history of building material warehousing and distribution. From cable and bricks in the early days, the Group has developed its expertise and materials handling facilities into areas such as timber storage and distribution, decorative laminates, concrete fencing, pre-stressed products, and chemical products including concrete admixtures, mortars, sealants, adhesives, damping, reinforcing materials and industrial flooring.
One of the longest standing contracts involves the import, storage and distribution of decorative surfacing materials for laminates, worktops, flooring and panel products, which require extra care to maintain quality throughout the supply chain.
The Group also has three fully equipped and designated chemical product storage and distribution centres handling many of the products widely used in the industry. Rail-connected centres in Yorkshire, on Merseyside and in Cambridgeshire are well placed to receive raw or finished materials in bulk - either UK manufactured, as deep sea imports or via the Channel Tunnel.
